Why SEODock doesn't use external SEO APIs

No rank tracking, keyword volumes, or backlink data. Here's the reasoning behind that deliberate choice.

Privacy & data

Many SEO tools depend on third-party data providers for search volume, rank tracking, and backlink indexes. SEODock deliberately does not. This is a design decision, not a limitation we're working around.

The trade-off we chose

Calling external APIs would require sending your URLs and keywords to other companies, introducing accounts, rate limits, and recurring data costs. Instead, SEODock focuses on the large category of SEO work that doesn't need live external data at all: producing correct markup, structuring content, and running disciplined audits.

What SEODock does instead

  • Generates valid, standards-compliant meta tags and structured data.
  • Analyzes content you provide for length, readability, and structure.
  • Helps you build technical files like robots.txt, sitemaps, and redirects.
  • Guides reviews with reusable audit checklists.

If you need live metrics

Pair SEODock with a dedicated rank tracker or analytics platform of your choice. SEODock handles the build-and-optimize half of the workflow without touching your data.
